The Under 85s claimed the weight-restricted title with a narrow victory over their counterparts from Counties Manukau. The side also compete against the open-weight development teams from Thames Valley and King Country in their competition, and managed to knock-off King Country after falling to Thames Valley in an earlier round.

The team will definitely be looking forward to a good off-season before getting back into it with their respective clubs early-on in 2020.

The Bs secured a much more comfortable victory against Counties Manukau and now await the result of Taranaki and Bay of Plenty next Saturday to see if they will claim a fourth straight Northern Region title.
