Kurtis Haiu has played 62 matches for Auckland since making his debut in 2005, making the 26 year-old lock one of the most experienced players in the 2010 Auckland squad.

2009 was a pivotal year for Haiu who really came of age as one of New Zealand's commanding lineout jumpers.

But for such a large, imposing forward, his real attribute lies in his mobility around the field, as he plays like another loose forward.

Haiu has also represented New Zealand at Secondary Schools, under-19 and under-21 levels.
