Dubbed the 'Tongan Hitman', Atieli Pakalani burst onto the Auckland scene last year after being plucked from obscurity without having played a single game of Premier Grade rugby.

A livewire player, Pakalani is an extremely talented and elusive footballer with plenty of raw pace and an uncanny knack for breaking tackles.

Pakalani is certainly one to keep an eye on this season as he looks to mature in his second year in the Auckland camp.

Pakalani also captained Tonga at the Under 20 Rugby World Cup in Japan last year.
