Last night the Junior Initiatives committee met to discuss the remainder of the Junior Season now that Auckland has entered another lockdown. With the guidance of Auckland Rugby, the decision was made to recommend to the JRC that the remainder of the Junior Season be cancelled.

With two weeks remaining and the uncertainty of what the next seven days will bring, along with the Return to Play protocols only be permissible at level two and council field availability only extending until the start of September, the hard decision was passed by the Junior Rugby committee.

While this news will be disappointing, the health and safety of all participants are imperative, and the committee wishes to pass on their thanks to all players, coaches, families, and volunteers for what has been a very successful 2021 Junior Rugby Season.

Auckland Rugby would also like to thank the whole community for your ongoing support and passion for providing positive experiences for all our junior players.
