Three Auckland Rugby Under 18 squads announced
Auckland Rugby is proud to announce three Under 18 representative teams to recognize a selection of players following a successful secondary school season.
Three 27-man squads have been named for the Auckland Under 18s, Auckland Divisional and Auckland Barbarians.
The group of players have been chosen from the 1A, 1B and 1C Auckland competitions.
All three Auckland Rugby squads have been named following the 16 Auckland Rugby players selected in the New Zealand Secondary Schools, New Zealand Barbarians and New Zealand Maori Schools squads and the 50 Auckland Rugby players selected in The Blues Under 18 squad.
This selection of talent outside of the group of 66 allows for greater reach and recognition of players within the Auckland region.
Altogether, a total of 139 Auckland Rugby players will be recognized in higher honours across the seven representative schoolboy teams (New Zealand Secondary Schools, New Zealand Barbarians, New Zealand Māori Schools, Blues Under 18, Auckland Under 18, Auckland Divisional and Auckland Barbarians).
Over 25 Auckland schools are represented across the three squads.
