Auckland Storm Coach Dean Bickerton has made just one change to the run on 15 to face the Manawatu Cyclones at Colin Maiden Park tomorrow.
It marks the second week of competition for the Farah Palmer Cup, the Storm winning 34-27 over Wellington in week one, grabbing a maximum five points.
The one change sees Alaiumu Sao-Taliu come into first five-eighths, while Charlotte Scanlan comes onto the bench in what will be her first appearance for the Storm since the 2014 final.
Bickerton said the focus this week has been around game plan.
“We didn’t make many changes because we thought we’d give players another opportunity, they have worked hard this week on clarity of game plan.”
Bickerton said the squad was please to grind out the victory over Wellington and are set on improving.
“The team wants to lift their standards. We’ve made a lot of progress this week and are a lot clearer on what needs to be done.”
Manawatu also secured a bonus point victory in round one, with flying winger Selica Winiata scoring three tries. Bickerton said Winiata is one of several threats in the Manawatu backline and the Storm defence will have to be sharp to contain them.
The match kicks off at 12pm.
