14 Auckland players are in Palmerston North vying for positions in the 2017 New Zealand Under 20 team.
They are among 48 players from across the country in camp for the next four days ahead of a squad selection for the Oceania Series.
Of the 14 Auckland players, 11 were members of the Auckland Under 19 team last year, while three are in their first year out of school.
Dalton Papali’i returns for his second year in the mix, while Caleb Clarke, Tanielu Telea and Cameron Suafoa are the school leavers asked to attend.
"Playing for New Zealand Under 20 can be the launch pad to a professional rugby career, and this development camp is an integral component of the player development system in this country," said coach Craig Philpott.
"This programme is a great breeding ground for new talent to put their hand up for higher honours.”
