Junior rugby players across Auckland will have the opportunity of a lifetime throughout May with junior rugby matches scheduled at Eden Park for the next four weeks.
Matches kick off this Saturday with six matches, featuring nine junior clubs scheduled for the Number 2 field at Eden Park.
Junior Rugby Development Coordinator Karl Pokino said it will be an exciting opportunity for junior players and their families.
“Eden Park is our home, but more than that it is the home of rugby in New Zealand,” said Pokino.
“Kids will thrive on having the chance to run around in front of their families on Eden Park and we hope to create an great environment for them.”
Food and beverage outlets will be open to offer snacks and drinks for the supporters.
Eden Park CEO Guy Ngata said they are excited to see junior rugby back at the stadium.
“We look forward to working with our partner Auckland Rugby to offer this great opportunity for young age grade players to experience their first chance to play rugby at the sporting fortress of Eden Park”.
