After a week of exciting, but cold, rugby the 2017 Walter Dickson and Bill McLaren champions have been found.

Auckland East continued their dominant reign in the Bill McLaren grade with a 29-10 win over Auckland South. East First five-eighths Francis Manuleleua was named player of the tournament.

It was East's fourth consecutive title

In the Walter Dickson final was a replay of a Pool A clash that went down to the wire earlier in the week. On Tuesday it was Pakuranga who upset Otara with a last minute try to claim the 18-17 win.

Today, the result was reversed, as Otara claimed their first ever title with a 22-5 win.

Dickie Terepo proved a points-scoring machine, while captain Nasoni Tava was awarded the Player of the Tournament
