All on the line for the Storm in Christchurch

The Auckland Storm head to Christchurch for a date with Canterbury to see who will have a chance to add to their Farah Palmer Cup silverware.

A replay of the 2019 FPC Final that saw Canterbury emerge victorious 30-20, the Auckland Storm will be looking to rebut that result with experience and a few combinations we saw earlier in the 2020 season.

Patricia Maliepo will move to fullback and Ruahei Demant will slot into the first-five position. A combination that we saw earlier in the season.

Sylvia Brunt comes back into the starting line up in the 12 jersey after injecting her energy off the bench in the eventual loss to Waikato in the last week of round-robin.

Aldora Itunu moves into the starting forward pack again to bolster the already experienced engine room of the Storm.

Leilani Perese joins the Auckland Storm team for the first time this season. Perese is no stranger to the Auckland outfit, winning three Farah Palmer Cup titles with the Storm between 2012-2014.

The Saturday afternoon game in Christchurch will mark several milestones for some of the Auckland Storm players. Veterans, Aleisha-Pearl Nelson and Charmaine McMenamin will both continue their list of impressive milestones with Nelson acknowledging 75 FPC games and McMenamin 60 FPC games.

Ponsonby Hooker, Cristo Tofa and Patricia Maliepo will celebrate their 15 cap for the Auckland side when they run out on Saturday.

The winner of the Semi-Final in Christchurch will face the winner of Waikato and Manawatu who will play on Sunday.

Kick off is at 4:35pm from Rugby Park in Christchurch.
